autumn bird mocktail 🍐🌶️

First, make your almond apple maple syrup. Add 1/4 cup maple syrup and 1/4 cup water to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and add red apple slices, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp almond extract. Feel free to add more almond extract to taste. Simmer for about 20 minutes. Strain and cool the syrup. Rim your cocktail glass with a lime wedge and dip it into a mix of cinnamon and sugar. To a shaker, add 2 oz pear juice, 1 oz tart cherry juice, 1 oz water, 1 oz almond apple syrup, 1 oz lime juice, and ice. Shake until cold. Add ice to your prepared cocktail glass and pour your drink. Garnish with a pear wedge, cinnamon stick, and/or dried lime slice.
