Summer Sandwich Series — Episode 4: "The Taylor Swift" Sandwich

First, prepare your pine nut vinaigrette: combine pine nuts, white wine vinegar, fish sauce, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes in a food processor. Puree until almost smooth, then slowly add in the olive oil while continuing to puree until the mixture is smooth. Set the vinaigrette aside. Next, grill your green tomatoes with a little olive oil on a cast iron pan or BBQ for about 1 minute on each side. Season the grilled tomatoes with salt. Lightly toast your sourdough bread. To assemble the sandwich, on one side of the toasted bread, add havarti cheese, sprouts, and turkey. On the other side, spread the pine nut vinaigrette, add pea sprouts, and the grilled tomato. Stack the sandwich (the more you stack, the better!), wrap it in parchment paper, and enjoy!
