A mocktail as an ode to Mexican culture during this special time of year. Made with a homemade tamarind simple syrup and garnished with marigolds, this drink is tangy and creamy. Add mezcal if you want it alcoholic. ENJOY!
To make the tamarind simple syrup: Add sugar, water, and tamarind pods to a saucepan. Bring to a boil and then simmer until thick, about 15 minutes. Strain and let cool.
To make your margarita: Add tamarind simple syrup, orange bitters, orange juice, lime juice, water/NA tequila or mezcal, and coconut milk to a shaker. Add ice and shake until chilled. Pour into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with a marigold. Enjoy!
